Welcome to
the Rotary Club of Bridgeport
website. The club is celebrating it's 59th year of "Service
Above Self." Located in Bridgeport, Ohio the
club meets at St. Josephs Church in Wolfhurst, Ohio
every Thursday at 12:05 pm. Bridgeport is one of
fifty-eight clubs in Rotary District 6690.

PANCAKE
BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER
(May
2, 2009)
On Saturday,
May May 2nd the Bridgeport Rotary Club held a
Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's
Restaurant in St. Clairsville, OH. The Applebee's
Flapjack fundraiser program is offered to
non-profit organizations across the country! $5.00
tickets were sold prior to the event as well at the
door. The club kept $2.50 of each ticket as profit
with the other $2.50 going to cover food and labor
costs at the restaurant.
Interactors
from St.
John Central High School and Bridgeport
High School did the serving and cleanup duties
and the Interact clubs will share in the profits! |

The
Bridgeport Rotary Club welcomes it's newest member..
Mary Harrison. Mary is a graduate of River High
School and has a BA in Health from Ohio University.
Mary has 15 years of experience in community
relations and referral management in long
term care. Mary holds the position of
admissions and marketing director at Heartland
Lansing in Bridgeport OH. |

MARTINS FERRY
ROTARY DISBANDS
(March
30, 2009)
The Rotary Club of Martins Ferry
held it's final meeting on March 30th after over 60
years of service to the Martins Ferry Community.
With the club down to just 12 members it was
determined that the club could no longer sustain the
level of service it as accustomed to and with no
potential new members it was better to end on a

EASTER FLOWER SALE
(April
10-11, 2009)
The 2009
Easter Flower sale was help on Friday April 10th and
Saturday April 11th at two locations in Bridgeport.
Citizens Savings Bank at Howard Street and the
Marathon gas station on National Road.

The March
madness is over.... and the University of North
Carolina are National Champions for 2009. 35 players
participated in this years Bridgeport Rotary

SHELTER
BOX UPDATE

The Bridgeport Rotary Club has adopted the Shelter Box
USA Program as one of our international projects.
As you know, this wonderful endevour sends a
load of survival supplies to people in an area where
a life threatening disaster has left them homeless.
It contains such items as a tent like
shelter, blankets, personal hygene products, cooking
items, clean drinking water, and even toys for the

TAKES
VOW OF SILENCE

St John Central Interact Club is raising $8,500.00
to build a new school house in Africa. They will be
participating in the VOW OF SILENCE

DINNER FU

2nd Annual Bridgeport Rotary Spaghetti Dinner was
held on Saturday, February 21st at the Bridgeport
High School Cafatorium. The serving started at 12:30

CONFERENCE

Bridgeport Rotary Club was well represented at the Annual
District 6690 Ethics and Leadership Conference in Newark,
Ohio. The conference was held at the Ohio State University
Newark Campus and sponsored by the Newark Rotary Club.
