FERNANDA UNGARETTI

Fernanda will be welcomed as our exchange student this Rotary Year. She comes to us from Rotary District 4651, Laguna, Brazil.

Fernanda’s parents, Gil and Liliana, are realtors, and she has one sister, 11 year old Giulia. Her father is a Rotarian.

Fernanda speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and has already graduated from High School. She loves Biology, Chemistry and English and will be enrolled as a Senior at St. John Central High School.

The Ungarettis live in a littoral (shoreline) city where there are many tourists each year. Laguna is located south of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, where the main economy is fishing.

Fernanda has never traveled abroad. She wants to learn a new culture, language and meet new people. She loves the beach and loves to read. Her favorite sports are soccer, basketball and handball.

When she returns to Brazil, Fernanda plans to attend Santa Catarina Federal University to become a Doctor specializing in Surgery.

Fernanda’s host parents for her stay in Ohio will be Vickie Bland and Roy Edge. Stacey Oliver will be her counselor.
