Each year the Greater Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival is held in Luarel Highlands east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The village of Morelandshire opens its arms and welcomes all visitors to share in the fun and enjoyment of medieval England. 

 

Fernanda (or Lady Fe) met many of the residents of the village of Morelandshire including the Village soothsayer, queen mum and numerous knights and common village residents. There were many, many store and booths that the villagers had for Lady Fe to shop at. Everything from musical instruments, to jewelry, incense and candles, clothing to dolls, and best of all FOOD!!

There were numerous shows put on by the good people of Morelandshire. Fire eaters and singers, village fools and comedians, dancers and musicians. There were games of chance and skill. Lady Fe tried her had at shooting a crossbow and throwing hatchets....although she didn't quite hit the target! Because her aim was so bad she was put in the stocks as punishment!!

There was even a joust between the Champion Knight of Morelandshire and a Knight from a rival village. All the villagers cheered on their champion... but alas... he was defeated by the rival Knight.

This is the first of many adventures that Fernanda will be going on while she is here with us in the states. We hope she enjoyed this one and all the ones to come!!! The king of Morelandshire says... "COME BACK ANYTIME MY LADY FE!!!"
