MARTHA ARRIVES!!!!

Martha arrived at the Pittsburgh International Airport at 11:35 pm on Wednesday, August 11, 2004. Those who went to great Martha were Father Mark Froehlich, Vickie and Denny Bland, David and Diane Demarest and Roy Edge.

Mark and Roy were TO keep an eye open for Martha's arrival. Unfortunately.. their eyesight is not that good!!! When it appeared that Martha has slipped by the dynamic duo, David Demarest was sent on a search and rescue mission to the baggage claim area to see if Martha was there.

Fortunately David had printed a sign in Martha's native language that Welcomed her to The United States. When she read it.. she smiled and David knew he had our missing exchange student.

Martha's journey was not quite over though with her arrival in Pittsburgh. It seems her luggage only flew as far as Chicago!!! She was assured that it would be delivered to her the next day in Bridgeport.

Even though Martha was quite tired, she was happy to let us take these pictures of her before leaving for Bridgeport!!
